To the point. On the record.

Decision records and month-end close for nonprofits.

AI drafts. People decide.

For boards, grant committees and finance teams that must show their work. Spearpoint keeps the record of how you decided and how you closed the month: what each person thought, where the numbers came from, and who approved the result.

Decisions and Finance: available to early design partners. Sales and Recruiting: private preview.

A sample March close: not ready to close, with two must-fix findings (an unmapped payroll department and a stale timecard export), one item to review, and one accepted item. Payroll in equals payroll allocated to the penny, and journal entries balance.

Illustrative mock-up with sample data, not a screenshot. “Business Office” is an organization’s own name for Spearpoint Finance; org branding is rolling out to Finance.

Why Spearpoint

Software that does the gathering and checking. People who make the call.

Spearpoint prepares the work and shows its sources. A named person approves what matters.

01

AI drafts. People decide.

Software gathers, checks and drafts. A named person approves what matters, and the record shows who did and when.

02

Sources, not guesses

In Finance, figures trace to the ledger accounts behind them, and an unmapped payroll department stops the run instead of being guessed.

03

Your organization leads

Our rule: inside your workspace, your name, logo and colours come first, and Spearpoint stays in the footer. Built in Spearpoint Home; rolling out to each product.

04

Plain about what’s built

We label what is built, what is in private preview and what is still coming. You’ll see the same labels throughout this site.

The suite

Two products today. Two in private preview.

Each product does one job and keeps its own record. They share Microsoft sign-in. Shared roles and your organization’s branding are built in Spearpoint Home and rolling out to each product.

Also in private preview

All four open from Spearpoint Home, which shows each person only the tools their organization has given them.

Spearpoint Finance

Keep QuickBooks. Know when the month is ready.

For human-services and multi-site nonprofits on QuickBooks Online that lose days to closing, allocating and preparing for the 990 and the audit. In production with our first nonprofit organization; the monthly-close workflow is under validation.

  • Close readiness. More than 30 automated checks give one answer: ready to close, or not ready, with the items to fix.
  • Allocations by your rules. Payroll and overhead split across programs and sites by rules you approved. Estimates are labelled.
  • Board reports and 990 work papers built from your confirmed account mapping, for your CPA to review.
  • Reads QuickBooks, never posts to it. Journal entries are prepared for a person to post.
How Finance works

A sample payroll allocation of $212,480 across five programs and functions, with $6,120 for staff who floated between sites marked as estimated.

Spearpoint Decisions

Make the call. Keep the record.

Grant committees and boards are asked to show how they decided. Spearpoint Decisions keeps that record around the meeting you already run.

  • Independent assessments. Each member scores and explains before the discussion, and the record keeps that view.
  • Reasoning checks. Fixed, explainable rules flag weak reasoning such as anchoring or sunk cost. The same text always gets the same findings.
  • Expected outcome, sealed. The owner states what should happen; it is sealed with the evidence, and an outcome check date is set.
  • Evidence you can verify. Export a tamper-evident bundle that anyone can check without signing in.
How Decisions works

A sample decision history: drafted, opened with the reviewer pool locked, finalized with its expected outcome sealed and hashed, and an outcome check scheduled.

How it works

The same shape in every product

  1. Gather

Bring in what you already use: QuickBooks Online, payroll exports, your SharePoint files, your committee’s memo.

  2. Check

In Decisions and Finance, fixed rules look for gaps, mismatches and weak reasoning, and explain each finding in plain English.

  3. Draft

AI drafts the words: summaries, briefs, messages. Where numbers matter, the server calculates them, not the model.

  4. Decide

A named person reviews and approves. The record keeps who, when, why and on what evidence.

Security and trust

Security you can check, not a badge to take on faith

We publish the permissions our software asks for and what it does with them. We don’t hold SOC 2 or any other certification yet, and we say so.

  • Sign-in with Microsoft Entra ID. Access is denied until a role grants it.
  • Spearpoint Finance reads QuickBooks and never posts to it. Intuit has no read-only permission, so we disclose the full grant.
  • Your organization’s branding never grants access to anything. Membership does.
  • Audit trails for decisions, closes and membership changes.
  • This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties.

See it on your kind of work.

We’ll walk you through Spearpoint with sample data, never anyone’s real records, and answer your questions plainly, including what isn’t built yet.
